13 tips that helped this residential real estate agent become a superstar.

(Boonton, NJ, March 17, 2014) — Top producer Bob Wolff boasts that he has sold enough homes to build a fat bank account and even buy a Ferrari.

During a speech at the NAR annual conference, Wolff, an agent at Harcourts Prime Properties in Dana Point, CA, stressed that there’s no secret sauce that leads to success. He launched his career in Southern California by holding an open house every day for a year.

Secret or not, Wolff offered 13 tips for selling a ton of homes. Including tip No. 8: Control your schedule.

Between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Wolff refuses to meet with anyone but buyers and sellers. Mortgage brokers, title agents, and other vendors looking to win his referrals have to meet with him before 8 a.m. or after 5 p.m.

He’s also strict about limiting chats or lunches that don’t lead to business. “Lunch is overrated,” Wolff says. “People who go to lunch with a bunch of agents in their office -- they’re nuts.”
