Realtor Uses Social Networks to Connect on a Personal Level

Realtor Daniel Iampieri discovered the real value of social networking when he stopped selling himself and started connecting on a more personal level.

(Boonton, NJ, November 16, 2009) — For nearly three years, Realtor Daniel Iampieri has cultivated social networks as a business source, and he's happy with the payoff.

"It's definitely been the biggest source of closed transactions for me," says Iampieri, a 27-year-old agent at Weichert Realtors-Caton Properties in Ellicott City, MD.

In one coup, Iampieri set up Gladiator Networking, a Facebook group for graduates of his high school. As a result, he has met — and closed deals with — people who graduated from his school in several different decades.

In the November issue of industry newsletter Real Estate Broker\s Insider, Iampieri details the secrets to his success including:

  • Keep it personal
  • Coordinate the efforts of agents and the broker
  • Don't get overwhelmed
  • Don't get caught up in rules.
