Residential Real Estate Brokers Expect Rising Profits in 2010
Industry survey reveals that Realtors are feeling optimistic about business growth in 2010.
(Boonton, NJ, January 15, 2010) — "We will finish 2009 in the black and expect to do better in 2010," one broker writes in the Real Estate Broker's Insider annual survey. "Our projection is to make about $100,000 more in 2010."
Overall, this year's survey responses were markedly upbeat. After three difficult years, real estate brokers expect 2010 to bring more home sales, increasing home prices, and heftier profits.
A full 63 percent of brokers expect rising profits in 2010, 32 percent see profits holding steady, and only 5 percent expect profitability to decline.
